Here is a video that i introduce how you could use ashi point on Lu meridian to treat lower back pain on UB meridian.  First ask patient where is the pain, if patient point out lower back pain is on UB meridian. The you could use Lu meridian to balance UB meridian. it should work instantly, elbow balance L2 (mingmen point), Ashi point around the level of elbow would be able to balance any pain on a level of mingmen (L2).  If you have applied Dr Tan's Linggu combo or lower back pain formula and patient reports there is still pain on UB meridian, then this is a good time to use Lu meridian to treat UB meridian lower back pain.  Which side to needle it? you could choose either side to needle, needle one side first, if it does not work well then needle the other side as well, of take out the needles and needle other side. Hi Everyone,   This is Szenan Phua from New Zealand.   Today i would like to share Dr Tan Balance Method Acupuncture Lower back pain Formula. Lower back pain on Du, UB and GB.   You could always needle Ling Gu, Li3, Th 3, SI 3.   Ling gu and Li 3 could balance UB ( though S7),   SI3 (though S1) also balance UB and Du, TH3 could balance GB (though S1). If any pain right across lower back, this means it involve with Dai Mai, Which i normally will add GB41.   Most of the time Dai Mai issue will present as pain right across lower back, but sometimes Dai Mai issue does not go across lower back, it actually present on Du or GB or UB, I am talking about fix pain on Du or GB or UB.
